🛡️ Core Promise: Focus Mode is an offline-only application. We do not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or sell any of your personal data, app usage records, or device information. All data stays entirely on your physical device.
Because the app functions completely offline without any network communication modules, we never collect:
All data generated by your usage of the application remains isolated on your device's local sandbox storage:
You can erase all of this data at any time by clearing the application storage via Android Settings or by uninstalling the application.
Focus Mode requests specific Android permissions strictly to perform its core offline app-blocking duties:
| Permission | Purpose & Local Usage |
|---|---|
| Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) | Used exclusively on-device to detect when a blocked distracting application moves to the foreground during an active focus timer session. This data is processed in real time in volatile memory and never uploaded. |
| Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) | Required to display the full-screen focus shield over blocked applications when you attempt to open them during an active focus session. |
| Query All Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) | Allows the app to display your installed applications in the setup picker so you can choose which specific apps to block or whitelist. |
| Foreground Service & Notifications | Enables the active focus session service to keep timer countdowns accurate and honest while your screen is locked or in use. |
| Ignore Battery Optimization | Optional permission to prevent aggressive device manufacturer background killers from stopping your focus timer prematurely. |
Our application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children, nor does our application contain any mechanism to gather information from any user.
The application operates completely offline and does not integrate third-party web services, cloud APIs, tracking beacons, or third-party SDKs.
